The 500 Club is an informal designation for Major League Baseball (MLB) players who have hit at least 500 home runs in their careers. As of October 2023, there are 28 members of the 500 Club.

  • Willie McCovey hit 522 home runs in his 22-year career, all with the San Francisco Giants. He was a 6-time All-Star and a 3-time National League (NL) MVP. He was also a member of the San Francisco Giants' 1965 World Series championship team.

  • Harmon Killebrew hit 573 home runs in his 21-year career, with the St. Louis Cardinals, Minnesota Twins, and Kansas City Royals. He was a 10-time All-Star and a 3-time American League (AL) MVP. He was also a member of the Minnesota Twins' 1969 World Series championship team.

  • Reggie Jackson hit 563 home runs in his 21-year career, with the Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees, and Oakland Athletics. He was a 14-time All-Star and a 3-time World Series champion. He was also a member of the New York Yankees' 1977 and 1978 World Series championship teams, and the Oakland Athletics' 1989 World Series championship team.

  • Frank Robinson hit 586 home runs in his 22-year career, with the Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was a 6-time All-Star and a 1-time NL MVP. He was also a member of the Baltimore Orioles' 1966 and 1970 World Series championship teams.

  • Willie Mays hit 660 home runs in his 24-year career, with the New York Giants and San Francisco Giants. He was a 24-time All-Star and a 12-time Gold Glove Award winner. He was also a member of the New York Giants' 1954 World Series championship team.

  • Hank Aaron hit 755 home runs in his 23-year career, with the Milwaukee Braves and Atlanta Braves. He was a 25-time All-Star and a 1-time NL MVP. He was also a member of the Milwaukee Braves' 1957 World Series championship team.

  • Eddie Williams hit 521 home runs in his 27-year career, with the Oakland Athletics, Montreal Expos, Chicago White Sox, and Anaheim Angels. He was a 4-time All-Star and a 2-time Silver Slugger Award winner.

 

These seven players were all exceptional hitters and had long and successful careers in MLB. They are all considered to be among the greatest baseball players of all time.
